I am 22 years old female I took abortion yesterday but I did not bleed or anything I don’t know if it was successful or not what can I do
Answered on 10th May '24
Not everyone’s body is built the same way; thus, the bleeding following an abortion may differ from person to person. For instance, after a successful abortion, some people might experience light bleeding, while others could have mild cramps or even pass blood clots. On the other hand, absence of bleeding does not always mean that it was not successful too. Just wait for a few more days and see if you start bleeding. Should you have any concerns or unusual signs, please consult your gynecologist.

Clear discharge two weeks after the start date of my period and light spotting
Answered on 10th May '24
A transparent drip as well as minor bleeding following your menstrual period may occur due to some reasons. It may be as simple as your body discharging old blood or it could also signify hormonal changes or infection. Watch out for such signs and if they don’t stop or instead worsen, then you should see a gynecologist immediately.

I'm a 23 years old female . Today I had my first sexual intercourse . At that time I had severe bleeding and pain . The bleeding is still going on . And I got out a piece of flesh out. I'm worried . Is this normal?
Answered on 7th May '24
During some women’s first sexual experience, they may have bleeding and pain. The bleeding usually stops after a few hours. However, passing a piece of flesh is abnormal. It could result from the hymen tearing, though such a big piece is uncommon. It’s essential to see a gynecologist for proper treatment and a check-up to confirm everything is okay.

I have been on the combination pill for four months. Sometime in my last pack I have missed two pills, I have no idea where. I am supposed to start my first inactive pill on Thursday. I had unprotected sex on Saturday and Sunday. I did take my pills in the week leading up to the unprotected sex. I do also know that I did not miss two consecutive pills. What do I do with the two left over pills? Do I still take the inactive pills for this pack?
Answered on 6th May '24
If you miss two pills in a single pack, it may lower the effectiveness of the contraceptive in protecting you from becoming pregnant. The risk will obviously be minimal since they were non-consecutive. Take the remaining ones according to the instructions and begin the inactive pills as per your diary. In case you have any strange signs such as abnormal bleeding or spotting, use extra birth control methods and consult your gynecologist for more advice.

Hello, I'm MA, have not seen my period for the past 6 months , i just turned 40 in January,2024. I will like to know if there's any medication for me to get my period back. Kind regards
Answered on 6th May '24
No period for 6 months at age 40 could be coming from menopause. Women have been known to stop having periods during this phase of their life and I think you should look into it with a gynecologist. This deserves to be confirmed by a doctor and any other symptoms you may be experiencing like heat waves or mood swings discussed as well. On the other hand, no medicine can bring back menses once this time has started.

Actually I got pregnant a few weeks before...I consulted a gynaecologist because it was an unwanted pregnancy so she suggested me a kit of 5 pills...due to contractions the embryo got out and I bleeded... it's been 15 days now...my bleeding hasn't stopped...and the blood is also of brown colour... although the bleeding is not more it's just 10-12 drops per day but am suffering from vaginal itching.... please suggest me something....I don't want to go through D&C process... please...

It seems that complications are being experienced from the pills. When the body adjusts, brown blood besides prolonged bleeding can occur. It is possible that the itching might stem from an infection. It is crucial to see a gynecologist as soon as possible in order to make sure that everything is alright.

Back pain, vomiting, stomach pain, and white discharge can happen because of pregnancy changes. Answered on 3rd May '24
It is okay to feel scared when you see blood, mostly if you are having a baby. In the early months, a little blood may come when you pee or poop. This can be from delicate pregnant tissue or swollen blood pipes around your butt. Drink lots of water, eat foods with fiber, and don't push hard. If more blood comes in or you feel pain, talk to your gynecologist.

The first day of my last period was April 1st and my expected ovulation date was April 17th. I had sex on the 13th/14th and took plan B in the morning of the 14th; I had sex again on the 19th/20th and took plan B on the morning of the 20th and I had sex on the 28th and took the plan B immediately. I am not on any contraceptive medication and my partner pulled out before ejaculating - so he said. I washed up immediately and took the pills. My period is late now and I don’t want to be pregnant. I have taken about 6 pregnancy test and they were all negative, not even a faint line of positive which is relieve. But my period is a day late and I’m worried. I took a test this morning and it was still negative. I feel tired, bloated, and I urinate frequently. What do I do?

Answered on 3rd May '24
It is often that brown discharge occurs after menstruation. Sometimes, the old blood takes time to come out of the body but if its flow is light and there is no pain or itches, then there's nothing much to worry about. Meanwhile, see a gynecologist whenever the discharge has a bad smell and you also feel pain, itching, or become inflamed.

I am 30years old and married. It's my third day if period... It's not heavy but I am passing gel like stringy clots, that cause weakness in the body, dizziness, I have lower abdominal pain as well as lower back pain, accompanied with dry cough at times and lastly my breasts feel heavy and tender. My period is usually heavy for the first 3days, this time it's clotting with pain and the blood flow is light.
Answered on 2nd May '24
Stressing about the clots, similar to gel, appearing when you’re on your period could happen as a result of hormonal changes or low blood flow. The weakness, dizziness, abdominal, back, or chest pain, and cough you feel can be associated with your menstrual cycle. All you need to do to feel better is find a comfortable position, rest, drink enough water, and use warm packs. Please visit a gynecologist if these signs continue affecting you.

You might have symptoms of a disorder called endometriosis. What endometriosis means is the fact that a similar to your uterus lining tissue, has started to grow outside of this organ. Also, a person with endometriosis may feel pain during their periods, have a really heavy flow, or even notice that they pass clots often. Try using a warm water bottle on your stomach area, taking some painkillers, and consulting a gynecologist about treatment options.

Im currently 7 weeks pregnant and yesterday after throwing up violently I had a small burst of red blood when I wiped my vagina. Now today there have been a couple of small brown wipes when going to the toilet not enough to reach my pad just when wiping. Should I be worried? Hi, my girfriend had a medical abortion but there were complication in the process. She was told to take one pil and then 4 pils under the tung three hours later and then another four three hours later. She then bled a little and it stopped. They then gave het a stronger dosage that had to be taken vaginally and then the 4 pills three hours vaginally again. After that she was supposed to take them orally but she made the mistake of using the second dosage vaginally as well. So they told her to take the third dosage orally and gave het another 4 to take 3 hours later again.

Excessive bleeding, intense stomach pain, fever, and foul discharge might signal complications. This could mean an infection or incomplete abortion happened. An incomplete abortion is when not all pregnancy tissue left the uterus. If your girlfriend experiences any of those symptoms, she needs medical help right away. Treatment usually requires a surgical procedure to remove any remaining pregnancy tissues. Please consult a gynecologist as soon as possible.

After consuming abortion medication, bleeding is expected. You might experience bleeding lasting 1-2 weeks. However, if it persists for up to 4 weeks, there's no cause for concern. Visit a gynecologist if you experience heavy bleeding (soaking more than 2 pads per hour), severe pain, or fever. To confirm the abortion's success, take a pregnancy test after 4 weeks.

I am currently on phentermine for weight loss and metformin for insulin resistance. I also take vitamins b12,d3,water pills, and vaginal ph balance vitamins. I'm currently on the depo Provera birth control shot once every 3 months. My last shot was feb.13th. I have had more frequent headaches for 2 weeks and ive lost a lot of weight the past 2 weeks and im also very fatigued everyday. To add to it. Ive been more emotional and moody. My moods are all over the place. I recently had bleeding for about 8 days (march22nd to April 1st) it wasn't heavy at all (I didn't need a pad or anything), but it was red. Not dark. Bright light red. It had suddenly started. Lasted for 8 days and then suddenly stopped. I never bleed because im on depo. Maybe an occasional spotting for a few hours every 3 or 4 months, but never actual bleeding. I thought it was odd so I took a pregnancy test. Faint positive. So took 4 more and they were all faint positives. Both red and blue dye tests. I had no cramping while I was bleeding, but now I'm having slight tightness in my lower belly and some upper back pain. Dull back pain. What could this possibly mean?
Answered on 4th Apr '24
You need to go to the gynecologist for professional assessment. According to the symptoms, phentermine, metformin, and Depo Provera may be hindering your menstrual cycles and hormonal balance. Blood and home pregnancy test kits may indicate the chance of pregnancy, but confirmation with additional tests is important.

If your test gives a positive result, make an appointment with an OB/GYN right away. However, if the test is negative, and you still have not had your period after seven days, you should also visit a gynecologist to figure out what could be causing the delay.

I'm seeking advice regarding a recent sexual encounter and potential pregnancy risk. One day ago, I engaged in sexual activity where there was contact between the tip of my penis and the outer layer of the vagina. It's important to note that there was no penetration, and the pre-cum was already present at the tip of my penis before making contact. Additionally, my partner is still a virgin, and there was no penetration of any kind during the encounter. Despite these factors, I'm concerned about the possibility of pregnancy from pre-ejaculate. I've read conflicting information online about the risk of pregnancy from pre-cum, and I'm unsure about the next steps to take to prevent pregnancy. Could you please provide guidance on the effectiveness of emergency contraception in this situation and advise on any additional measures I should consider? I want to ensure that I'm taking appropriate precautions to avoid pregnancy.

Based on the information provided the possibility of impregnation from pre-ejaculate in this situation is quite small, though not impossible. As to point that emergency contraception is the best when taken immediately after unprotected sex should be stressed. You could start by seeing a gynecologist or a reproductive health specialist to discuss the issue and possible methods of emergency contraception.

A few minutes ago I went to poop and had to put some pressure and when I put some pressure I started having severe pain in my vagina and there was a thick white discharge like cheese. I’m still experiencing slight pain in the vagina. A month back when I was doing some jumping exercises and faced severe vaginal pain. At times I also experience numbness in my vagina, hands and legs. I had severe constipation in the past but now it’s been fine. I also experienced severe lower back pain in the past but not anymore. I was also diagnosed with PCOD. Minimally Invasive Procedures: In some instances, procedures such as uterine artery embolization (UAE) or laparoscopic excision may be adopted to eliminate or reduce the size of adenomyomas.

I'm 17 year old girl. I have been diagnosed with hashimoto's disease and take levothyroxine. Recently I got diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and I was told to take drosperinone birth control. However for the past few days I've been having really terrible heartburn and headaches and I can't lay down to sleep. My doctor said to it's a side effect of the birth control. I want to stop taking it because of the heartburn I've been getting. The doctor gave me famotidine 20 mg tablets to lower my stomach acid. From what I know, the acid reflux i have could also be from too little acid production. So will this Famotidine medication hurt me more? Is it safe to stop taking drosperinone and treat the cyst without involving hormones into my body?

Talk to your gynecologist before discontinuing Fluoridine 20 mg tablet. It is a histamine-blocker used to treat stomach acid problems and can be taken as directed on prescription without any harm. Hi there, I’m a sexually active female for reference. I have been sexually active for 5 months now and have never had an issue with pain related to sex. This was until the last couple of days. My boyfriend and I had not seen each other in 3 weeks and I just returned home from my trip. We decided to celebrate by having sex. Our celebration ended when I started feeling this immense pain. My boyfriend believes that it could have been from there not being enough lubrication. This pain has continued tor 3 days now, even hurting while not having sex. Sex definitely heightens the pain and discomfort. We have not had sex sense the pain started because it hurts too bad. It even hurts when it is being rubbed. The pain is located surrounding the opening of my vagina, both inside and out, seemingly on the side furthest from my butt. Does that make sense? This is a concern of mine and I was wondering if there was a logical explanation and perhaps an at home treatment? Along the same lines, not sure if they are related. My vagina has been very itchy. I have not noticed any irregular discharge. What may be causing this and what can be done? Also, I just recently started two new supplements. I notice my vaginal discharged had an odor. I started the “Rae’s vaginal balance” supplement and the “Azo cranberry” supplement in hopes to rectify the situation. Is there a reason why I stink and what can I do to fix the issue?

It seems like you might be having pain during intercourse because of dryness; however, it is necessary to visit a gynecologist in order to rule out any underlying medical issues such as infection or endometriosis. The itching and smell, which can also be caused by an infection or imbalance of your vaginal flora. It is preferably to be referred by gynecologist for a proper diagnosis and plan of action.

Answered on 3rd Feb '24
Almost zero are the chances of getting pregnant a few days prior to or even on one day before your period since ovulation period is over. If you are worried it is advisable to use contraception. In case of any worries related to pregnancy or reproductive health, you should consult a gynecologist
Female | 18
I took the right precautions during sex and now my period is supposed to come but I have been bleeding a lot lighter than usual and most days the blood is brown and I’m scared that it is implantation bleeding once I wipe with the tissue the blood is gone but I am 100% sure nothing broke or anything and I’m really scared. I also took a test and it came back negative so I’m just so confused and scared.
Answered on 3rd Feb '24
You should go to a gynecologist for a detailed examination. The implantation bleeding is typically mild and occurs a few days before the scheduled period. If you have done everything that is supposed to be done before engaging in sex, the bleeding may result from other issues such as hormonal imbalances.

One of the effects that can occur from ceasing to use birth control pills is a change in your menstrual cycle. Dark color of blood flow occurring during periods may be associated with old non-excreted blood. Stomach pain and nausea may not be connected to the menstrual cycle. Such symptoms should be referred to the gynecologist for evaluation and management.

Which type of abnormality in sperm can be used in ICSI and in IVF and IUI???
Answered on 18th Jan '24
In ICSI , another form of the procedure, it is even possible to use sperm that have abnormal shapes or movement since a single sperm can be injected directly into an egg. Better sperm quality is often preferred in both IVF( In Vitro Fertilization) and IUI (Intrauterine Insemination), though certain abnormalities are not ruled out entirely. It is important to see a specialist in fertility or reproductive endocrinologist who will help determine the most appropriate strategy depending on the specificities of sperm abnormalities.

Hi! Me and my girlfriend were having sex while wearing only our underwears. There's a chance (I don't actually remember it much) that I may have taken out for a small period my underwear. We weren't using any contraceptives, and she was on her fertile period. She has taken the morning after pill 17 hours later. Is there something to worry about?

Taking the morning after pill within 17 hours of intercourse can be effective in preventing pregnancy.. but its effectiveness tends to decrease the longer you wait. Consult a gynecologist to confirm

Meri umra 46 h do mahine se mc se nahi hui hu or pregnancy chahti hu kya ye sambhav h.
Answered on 1st July '23
At 46 years it is still possible to conceive and become pregnant, although fertility generally decreases as women get older. There could be various reasons for the missed menstrual cycles, like hormonal imbalances, perimenopause (the transitional phase before menopause), stress, certain medical conditions, or even pregnancy.
Since you're trying to conceive, it's important to consider the possibility of pregnancy as well. I recommend that you take a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy as the cause of the missed periods. If the test is negative and your menstrual cycles remain irregular or absent, it would be advisable to consult a gynecologist.

Could I still test pregnant 5 weeks after abortion
Answered on 26th June '23
If you've undergone an abortion and it has been five weeks since the procedure it is unlikely that a pregnancy test would yield a positive result. After an abortion, the pregnancy hormone gradually decreases in the body, and by five weeks post abortion, the hormone levels should have significantly diminished. But also every individual is different, and the timing may vary.. So you can talk your concerns to your gynecologist

Hello, I have been taking birth control pills every day for 3 months. I don't drink at the same time every day, but I always drink at night. I took a 7-day break. And on the first day of this seven-day break, we were together and it emptied into me. What are my chances of getting pregnant? Will I get pregnant? Birth control pills are said to protect for 7 days. Should I stop suspecting in this case?My other two questions are: Should I take the morning after pill? If my period doesn't start in this 7-day break, does it mean I'm pregnant?
Answered on 18th May '23
Yes there is still a possibility of pregnancy, although the risk may be relatively low. Taking the morning-after pill can be an option to further reduce the risk, but it is best to consult with a gynecologist first.

While the withdrawal bleeding you experienced after taking the i-pill suggests that you may not be pregnant, it's not a definitive confirmation. Consider taking a pregnancy test to be sure. Regarding your next period, it can vary and it may not necessarily follow your regular 31-day cycle due to the hormonal changes caused by the emergency contraceptive pill. It's best to monitor your menstrual cycle and consult with a gynecologist for medications.

I had sex on the 13th and I had a pill within one hour and then on the 15th of that month, I took a pill within one hour, just as a precaution. I started a light bleed on the 20th of that month until the 25th. The expected period date was 30 of the month. But, I still have not got it.

Based on the information you have provided, the pills you took on the 13th and 15th of last month may have affected your menstrual cycle. Contraceptive pills contain high levels of hormones that can disrupt your menstrual cycle and cause irregular bleeding. If you are concerned about a possible pregnancy, you can take a home pregnancy test to confirm. But wait at least a week after a missed period to take the test for accurate results or visit a gynecologist.

What to expect after taking methotrexate for ectopic pregnancy
Answered on 3rd Feb '23
Methotrexate is usually effective in treating ectopic pregnancies. Still, it is likely that after taking methotrexate for an ectopic pregnancy, you will experience some side effects such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. You may also experience some abdominal pain and cramping. These side effects typically go away within a few days. However, in some cases, the fallopian tube may be damaged or removed during treatment, making it difficult or impossible to conceive naturally. In such cases, IVF can be used as a means of helping the couple achieve a successful pregnancy. But it's important to have regular follow-ups and checkups to ensure that the pregnancy has been terminated and that you are recovering well.
After ectopic pregnancy surgery when to try to conceive
Answered on 3rd Feb '23
It is highly recommended that you wait at least three to six months after ectopic pregnancy surgery to try to conceive again using IVF or other methods. This gives your body time to heal and prepare for another pregnancy. It is also important to talk to your gynecologist about possible risks and ensure that your body is ready for conception.
