Answered on 3rd May '24
A PSA level of 5400 is very high. This means the cancer is spreading to other parts of the body. It may cause pain and make it hard for your dad to walk. Work with your dad's doctor to help manage his pain. An oncologist can give strong pain medicine. They can also suggest physical therapy to help your dad move better and feel more comfortable. This will help your dad get the best care possible.

Answered on 14th Feb '24
It seems to be significant what the radiation level of each image test should be. The level of radiation from the tests you have been given is most likely safe, but don't expose yourself more than is necessary. It is advisable to see a specialist like a radiologist or oncologist if you have any worries and to take the best action.

Sixty days after a bone marrow transplant, you can expect several changes and milestones. The initial weeks are critical for monitoring engraftment, where the transplanted cells start producing new blood cells. Blood counts are closely monitored to assess recovery and potential complications. Hypermetabolic nodule in left adrenal gland and hypodense lesion in left kidney 4. hypermetabolic multiple lytic sclerotic lesions in axial & appendicular skeleton. In 2020 ultrasound showed a complex ovarian cyst on one ovary measuring 3cm. The other cyst was normal. There was followup after three months with u-s and mri that showed no increase in size. No further follow ups. I read that complex cysts are at risk for malignancy, particularly for older women, and require monitoring. Wouldn’t that mean every six to twelve months? So my other questions are if EVERY complex cyst should have monitoring? And is it recommended to have oophorectomy and possibly hysterectomy assuming good health with no preexisting conditions? Thank you.
Answered on 25th Oct '23
Complex ovarian cysts can have a risk of malignancy and usually require monitoring. Whether to undergo oophorectomy or hysterectomy should be based on the characteristics of the cyst, overall health, and personal preferences. You must consider what your doctor suggests.
